Holy Furry Fanart Batman!
Their costumes are based off the rather silly and campy 1966 Batman TV Series, with Zippy as Batman and Ashie as Robin.
Speaking of Batman, I've been playing a lot of Arkham City lately, and I'm also trying to get more into DC, especially with the hype of the upcoming Batman film, if anyone's a Batman fan, I'd be happy to hear some comic or show recommendations!

I'm sure, by now, you have been recommended "Batman: The Animated Series" from the early 90s that ran through the early 200s. There is also "Batman Beyond", which is an excellent spin-off that shows Bruce Wayne and how he is able to keep Batman and the ideals behind the character beyond his lifetime. (The new Batman is backed up by Bruce from The Bat cave. However, Bruce still gets out and does his 'detective work' when his heart condition isn't flaring up too much. There's even an episode where he is talked into entering 'The Lazerous Pit'. He regains much of his youth and, well, he is a tank!)
The original Batman with Adam West and Burt Ward is silly, but a lot of fun. The Joker, Ceasar Romero, did the role unbelievably well.
