I'll point it out up front: I forgot his freaking ears. Let's just pretend he's got them tucked under his cap. (Gah. This is the second time I've forgotten those darn things.)
Simply put: I'm chubby and I wanted to draw Coon to reflect that. I used a photo as a sole reference, seeing as how I'm absolutely terrible with illustrating various body types, which I hope is alright. The fingers look janky and the feet look kind of like they're just floating along that step, but I did the best I could with what I had. XDD
Eh. This description would be more wordy or something, but I'm insanely tired. I may edit this later one when my brain's functional again. *yawns*

Duuuuude, this is amazing! I just... dang. Hold on, will find the words for this later. *chokes a little on drool*
...
Hahhhh okay. I mean! This is seriously awesome. Woooiiiiiiiii! So it's from a photo? Which there is no shame in, because you still have to extrapolate certain things. The feet make sense because it's flat-shaded, and they actually look fine to me. I just... dang. XD
And it has so much character. The stylus in the mouth, the hat... 'course, you can easily imagine the ears tucked in the hat. I used to do this, but I got all caught up in "omg i want to draw ears they are cute" so I try to make them work outside. This is really cute though, I wouldn't change a thing.
Thanks so much for posting it too. ^^

*hands you a handkerchief for the drool* XD
I made two or three photos in a series so that I could have different views of the feet and hands (two appendages I'm rather terrible at drawing) and worked from them. *nods*
In the initial sketch, he had ears, but then I erased them so that I could sketch the hat real quick. In the end, I simply forgot to add them back in and, by the time I realized it, it was too late. I'll manage to do a full image with him having ears eventually. X3
Thank you very much for your kind comment. I really appreciate it. *hugs* x3

They are very disconcerting stairs, aren't they? XD
Yes, monster cat does pose a constant threat there, particularly at night when you're going down the stairs tiredly and he's decided to fall asleep near the top step~
They make comfy gaming perches from time to time, though. *fiddles with his DS*

This looks great! I wouldn;t worry much at all, the fingers look fine (and like they're actually gripping the DS, better detail then I've been able to achieve so far!) and his feet are well positioned. And then there's the fact that he's so CUTE! ^^ And very handsome, too. That argyle and green and nerdywear - awesome. ^^
