I don't think anyone on here got to meet these two, but this is Sasha and Rodrigo. Unfortunately, they passed the beginning of this year.

Sasha was an adult mouse when we got her, and Rodrigo was a very young rat pup. For some reason, even though he should have eaten her, they loved each other. I mean, they would groom each other, he would bring her food... They lived together, slept together, everything. It was one of the most amazing relationships I have ever seen...

You can tell in this picture that Sasha is roughly the size of Rodrigo's head, and they never fought.

When he passed, Sasha disappeared. We never found her again. We cleaned out their home very carefully, there was no trace of any scuffle between the two. What we think happened is he died, and she was heartbroken and ran away. They had really only ever known each other...

It was a very, very tragic day for the family when we lost them... May they live on forever in our hearts.
