f you grew up (as I did) in the Connecticut of the 1970s, and listened to New York City radio (as I did), you likely ran across the ads for The Dime Savings Bank of New York, one of those long-gone savings banks that used to figure heavily in advertisements (like Joe DiMaggio for the Bowery, or "that's right, your Anchor Banker, he understands" on the WMCA Mets broadcasts.

Well, it'll be recalled that Elfhame has its own bank, owned by the Master, the charter for which was a gift of the High King. We've never been inside its one branch. Until today!
