This is why I tend to work at night. Less noises. Like, the most I gotta worry about is the occasional train, or when my roommates decide to run a machine late at night. Not the fifteen noises that happen in the day and make me stay in bed until it's gone.
To those who aren't aware, noises can be a trigger for seizures, just as lights and flashing are. Normally these triggers are generally sudden loud noises or high pitched frequencies, but this can differ between individuals and subjects. Some of these noises may not always be intentional or expected as a trigger, so the unfortunate way of discovering what is a trigger and what isn't tends to be a bit of trial and error.
Based on my own experiences, as a non epileptic, I have a certain threshold before I need to go lay down and try to muffle things out, or ride through the twitchies (the name my fiancé and I have come to call them since that's how they feel and appear). Depending on factors like sleep and food consumption, that threshold can be better on some days over others. But this is just what I've learned over the three years of having this shit.
I am no expert, so don't take my word as law for any of this. Feel free to research if you're genuinely curious or want to know more on the subject.
