Before becoming a merc full time and be joined by his crew mates, Jass joined a gang of Corsair pirate. He becames a heavy fighter pilot on board of the aircraft carrier "Wolf Rayet".
He excelled with the Gaillard M5. The model no longer in production for the past 20 years, has proven to be the favorite of professional fighters pilots. Everything is manual and everything is customizable up to the pilot preference. This model in particular is classified as a gladiator: Extra armor, retractable armor panels and detachable wiglets on the side that can be removed during flight if damaged. A perfect endurance ship for a long battles.
One down side: The engine require serious maintenance every 5 missions, depend on its pilot flying style. The engine is so powerful that it is known to be self destructive. Gladly, the engine is so optimized and simple that it is pretty common to constantly removed melted and damaged piece with new ones with not much trouble. Over the time, with new technologies and mix of metals, the engine doesn't cause as much damage to its parts as it use to be, making the ship even more profitable.
Jass's setup consist of:
x2 torpedoes ship busters
1 turret module (laser) with the VI Doug (Specialized in missile interception and pursuit breaker)
1x set of armored wiglets with their extra maneuverability thrusts
x2 gauss canons.
Today, Jass is no longer flying as much his GLD M5. He religiously take care of this ship as a piece of collection and use it only for quick stations hopping or for visiting. But just in case... the ship is still fully operational and always ready for combat of he's being forced to defend himself.

Holy cow! I love this thing so freaking much! If there was a 3d model I would 100% print this up to give it a good detail up and paint job.
Or hell if more angles of this ever come out I may try my hand at 3d modeling and get this thing made!
This just ticks so many great sci-fi buttons for me!

A very cool ship!
I'm reminded of the torpedo bombers in Starsector (but I'm sure you don't want to hear me ramble on about a video game, so I won't), which were perfect for finishing heavy cruisers! I also see the thrusters in proper location for space maneuvers, IRL. I think this design would work, and work very well!
