Kristania the ringtail cat enjoying a hot summer day at the pool. This piece really made me want to go swimming. Also its the first of my pieces for the Anthrocon art show this summer =).
Done with micron pen and acrylic paints on 8"x10" illustration board.
Some minor notes:
The popsicle is pineapple flavored... and I want that bikini.

Oh, this is absolutely gorgeous! I've really been looking forward to seeing this get finished. You did a wonderful job with her fur and hair, and making them her look wet without looking to straggly. And I really like what you did with the swimming pool. There are just so many cute little details, it makes me wish I could be there so much.
I love the little koala clinging to the floating lounge behind her, too! They look so peaceful and happy!

It came out so lovely! I really love the water, it must have been quite difficult. Oh and the lovely water reflections on the side of the pool. The wet fur is also fantastic! Very wonderful job. ;3 I really need to get working on my stuff for Anthrocon. What would you suggest I bring (as this is my first con) if you don't mind me asking?

                    Thanks very much =D!
As far as stuff for Anthrocon goes - you can never really predict what would do well, so I generally just draw what I want to or what I feel I do best... My panels usually have half of the space filled by large limited edition prints, and the other half of the panel space is originals which are usually smaller so I can do more of them.
I think the adult art does pretty well at Anthrocon, in general, whereas at Further Confusion the general tends to do better. I always have more general panels though because I usually do more general art.
I guess I would suggest doing what you feel you do best, and what you have fun with doing .. I think that your colorful female pinups would do quite well. And you could put in a few limited edition prints of your digital or traditional pieces (for art shows I do 11"x14" prints with a small edition - 3 or 5... the regular size prints 8.5"x11" are unlimited and I sell those at my table)
Best of luck! I look forward to seeing what you create, and also meeting you at the con =D!

I was just thinking about this picture again the other day, it's nice to see it finished :) The feel of wet fur is there without it being... unpleasant. I love her swimwear, too - the ladybird there's cute.
And the amount of detail you've put into the background is great, as well - the whole thing forms a snapshot from another world that I'd really love to step into :)

                    GOSH. OwO
I love your visual feast for the eyes pieces.
My favorite part about this whole piece is without a doubt the drip marks on the tile around Kristania. Like how do I say this without sounding like a dork.....
You're art feels like it could be real. Like it has this quality of life that I don't really see in other artists.
Nope no luck, I still sounded like a dork. XD

O^O it. actually. looks. like. water. I am so jealous!!! Brilliant work Kacey!!!!!!!! especially on the little details with the water in particular (I find it one of the hardest elements to create) like the drops on the pool-side or even in the beads of it rolling off her fur! Love it!

Just wanted to say one thing lol, not many people draw wet fur x3 you did the tail purrfectly and the rest of the fur, but you missed the face, but still, I gives you 9ΒΌ/10 CX sorry been looking stone to see how many abruptly do wet fur... Just wow barely xD some are like talking a shower and look like they got skin. We are furries for a reason, we has fur lol CX your picture was the first I saw that was in the right path lol. ^~^ but hey this one must be old cause compared to the art style u use now it seems make a couple years out months CX so bet you do mesh mesh mesh mush better lol
