Ink on paper
I need to work on my fanart some. It's something I tend to actively resist, because long long ago, when I was a kid, my art teacher told me to not draw fan-art. Real artists don't copy, etc. etc. It's something I'm having to unlearn.
Anyway, I loved the Dreamworks She Ra on Netflix, and I loved Catra most of all. Catra was my favorite in the original She Ra, as well, but they're totally different characters. I put Dreamworks Catra in her season 4 outfit, cuz it was my favorite, and was at the point where she was the most engaging, to me.
This piece is for sale, $50, if anyone's interested! All of the Artober2020 pieces are for sale, starting on Patreon, then moving here!

I realized that, way too late. He was pretentious. I'm still learning that stuff I was taught as a kid is pretty bad, and i thought of myself as fairly open minded. I had a bad doctor too, growing up, which is why I only realized this year that I have migraines. I was told by a doctor that 'boys don't get migraines' and that I didn't have them.
It was 35+ years before I even tried to do anything. I wrote a novella.
15 years later I paid $75 for a custom made sketch book. I stared at it for 2-3 months. Terrified to make any marks in it. Then one day I decided "fuck it" and did a few illustrations for my novella.
But yeah, that shit leaves a really deep mark on ya. It took me a LONG time to get over it.

Oof, that's SUPER hard. A $75 sketch book would terrify me too, though. I've learned a trick for that, though. I'll do a mark on a page if it's intimidating me for too long. That way the page is already 'ruined'. Then I can go ahead with it, with a little more confidence.
