Continuing with Lila's debut - old art with new colours etc etc...
...so...yeah.....turns out there was one Lila pic...turned up today while sorting files and expanded it and added colours
Lila, after being hidden away for years meets some one and falls in love and .... all she wants is the impossible - that they will fall in love with her as well ....and then one day they gove her her firarst rose, her first "I love you" and her first kiss.
And this picture is about how she feels !
......so ....oops. "Secret Flight" was the last last Lila pic from Dec 2000 - but this pic occurred in-between some of the numbered ones - it is literally signed " Lila # ?" .
i just expanded out the horizontal borders, added digi ink wing curves ( drawing on paper if you run out of picture room your idea is cut short ) added quick colours ...
and i think that this an even better pic to "end" Lila's debut on - a promise of more rosey light to come.

Back in 2000 a lot of anthro artists had wildly different styles and i was trying to withdraw from the animations biz so that i could do my own art - the Lila pics are experiments in exploring my own new styles and moods after decades of of being "a hired gun" to do storyboards and develop series for the anim biz..So - then Facial designs were inspired by all those early artists of furry .. as well as Tezuka, etc
It was the work of The Mother Of Invention. - i had come home from work exhausted and looking forward to flopping - no art or guitar just veg (had just done 33 or whatever days of new colours every night on top of Essential Service job. Then came across this "Lost" pencil pic while while moving files around. and my fist thought was " Oh Wow! " and second thought was "If my Lila debut is to stay true then this pic has to be part of it - old art/new colours. ...and i felt too tired to do it. And i gave myself that old pep-talk "Hey now, little fella, y'know once ya get going you'll get a groove on. ..." Such a cliche, but it often works. i think i started with the simple lighting and got into doing accurate fur patterns woo! - and then the fact that i was tired and etc - so didn't change simple light plan. ... Then pausing and seeing that it works ...That it conveys the intended mood... that was a rather complicated explanation of simple light. ^_^
