I was inspired to paint this after making friends with all the neighborhood crows a few months back. Just the other day one the crows somehow recognized me somehow (even with a mask on), swooped down on a low tree branch in front of me and called all their friends - a murder of 30 crows. They followed me to the grocery store, cawing all around and I excitedly yeet peanut treats everywhere. I love these birds so much. They're beautiful, intelligent and underappreciated <3
I named the main three crows that hang around my apartment the Inky Family, hence the name.
