Happy Chuckletrousers Day everyone! So I did another bit of that early Pogo storyline. Pogo had the idea to just fill Albert so full of water that the tadpole he'd swallowed could float back up to his mouth. And indeed that's exactly what they did and it worked brilliantly, without any unfortunate side effects whatsoever! We're all happy now.
