I weeped today for I have lost something I can not get back.

A friend, a loved one and one I hoped would had stayed a little longer.

They were dear to me and my whole family, but this plague has taken them and my love for them too.

I wish they could have held on and that whoever or whatever being that sends us to our death would have let them stay just long enough for me to say my goodbyes.

I continue to weep for they were very dear to me.

A family member who I am proud to say is one of my own.

They may have lived a long happy life, but I curse the name that took them from me.

My grasp was never tight enough to pull them up from the cliff of life.

My love for them will not die tonight.
