I really can't remember the last time I saw 'The Final Chapter'. Bought a movie set a few years ago real cheap that goes up to 'Manhattan'. I only ever watched the first one after getting that set, perhaps I should fix that this year.
Glad to see Chris's work on Jason being shown proper for a change, though, too.

We might have the same set, I too got a cheapy that goes up to part 8. I think it features Jason on the cover about to perform a backhanded slash, and if I'm not mistaken, the chevrons on his mask are properly red, but shaped more like the ones in Part 5. I watched it up to 7 I believe and, bad as it is, am considering watching Part 8 sometime between now and the completion of the fascist coup.
Funny you mention Chris, as I type this I was looking at a clip of her final girl scenes. I've often cited Part 3, despite its many faults, as being a favorite and I think a lot of it is because it's one of the most compelling Final Girl segments of the series and of classic slashers in general, she really works him over. All in all it's interesting to watch them all in order as Jason appears to become more confident in his murdering with each film. Of course I don't think that's intentional and is just a happy accident as we go from director to director, but all the same. Watching them all at once also helps showcase how much of an improvement Part 6 is, too, and how they really tried with that one, unlike with those first 5 where they just set up some kids to be bowled over.
Ever since elementary school I've almost always included the famous axe-gash in his mask unless I specifically want the mask to appear brand new. The primary design choice after that is whether or not I also include Part 6's propeller damage which in turn also dictates whether or not he's Zombie Jason. I tend to prefer human Jason but I admit it's more fun to design the gnarly features of Zombie Jason sticking out from behind the mask. Here I wasn't going for a movie-perfect rendition of the Part 4 mask, but more like a hybrid (chevrons from part 3, damage from part 4 and of course inspired by that movie cover, straps more akin to part 8, and an overall shape that might actually be more like his pre-uber form in Jason X).

I think it's the same one, too. I always did like the blue chevron mask myself, even if it wasn't Jason. Pretty much yeah, Jason Takes Manhattan is bad, but I'd still take it over Jason Goes to Hell. Really, that's probably the only one I'd go out of my way to avoid, all the others, good or bad, have their charm.
As you may know, in a couple of days, Shout! Film Factory (I think that's the name...) is coming out with a big fancy boxset that includes every single film, all the way up to the remake including FvJ. I was pulling over getting it because it's not cheap but I also have never had a nice Friday boxset which seems wrong as it's something I've loved for a long time (albeit less than I used to). I've got a fancy version of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre and a sweet Silver Sphere boxset for phantasm so it feels like I'm really lacking not to have a special one for Friday, but it's hard to justify the cost when I already have most of the movies. Though I do appreciate that all the Blu Rays seem to come with the original cover art, and I guess some have multiple versions of the film.
Anyway I'm rambling but yes, that'll be out soon.
