"Come ooooon!" Jessie said with a whimper. “Come watch a scary movie with me, it’s finally spooky season!”

“No.” Brittany said flatly.

In many ways Brittany and Jessie where almost the same girl, in other ways the two couldn’t be more different: and those differences didn’t end in their size. The tiny feline loved Halloween: the costumes, scary movies, and above all else the candy!

While Brittany, on the other paw, didn’t hate Halloween (she certainly liked the candy, and watching the kids dress up was cute) she found it kinda… boring. All the skulls, blood spatters, ghosts and the other ‘spooky’ things that where supposed to make one’s skin crawl just did nothing for her and on the off chance she did find something that ‘scared’ her she just found the feeling uncomfortable and off putting.

“Well, what movie do you want to watch?”

"I will watch basically any movie. Assuming it stars Ansel Elgort, and the soundtrack features The Beach Boys, Simon & Garfunkel, and Blur. Oh and there needs to be a Ford Edsel on screen at some point."”

“Brittany… there are movies in the world other than Baby Driver.”

“Yeah, but there doesn’t need to be. Besides what’s scarier than Kevin Spacey?”

Suddenly Jessie got a wicked smile “Alright, we can watch something with Kevin Spacey.”

“NOT Se7en!”

“Ugh. I can’t believe you’re such a scary cat: aren’t I the tiny little kitten around here?”

“I’m not scared, it’s just zombies and shit don’t scare me, they bore me!”

“Oh really?” Jessie said, the gears turning in her head already.

Turns out Brittany would have been better off letting Jessie pick the movie! Personally I just feel bad for Nathan: poor guy had nothing to do with it.
