
This version features a less-terrifying (and less zombie-like) snout, and the error I made while penciling in the upper right chest has been fixed. The underdrawing must have slipped while I was doing the pencil sketch; it wouldn't be the first time that's happened.

I like this one better, but honestly, I think the other was truer to the mythos you created for him.
If part of the transformation is that it removes fatty tissue, then those flaps around the gums and teeth would have been removed along with his beer-belly.
But if you decide to go with this one, I don't see too many people complaining. It would also make it easier to put expressions on him.

Yeah, he can only change once. After every battle, he has to undergo extensive skin grafts.

No, actually, I just reckon the mass of the skin and fat (and whatever else) is absorbed into his total mass during the transformation. Hey, this is sci-fi, man. You're supposed to bend the rules of reality!
