not entirely self-made, actually.
I found the mask on ebay for a surprisingly low pricetag. added whiskers made of nylon thread, adjusted the strip around the head, drilled the nostrils open, and added feathery earrings for extra gayness.
the paws are gloves from an earlier project, and made to measure, but still not fitting well; they tend to slide off my hands. so I put fingerless rubber gloves over them, and it almost works... I have funky hands. one claw has slipped out, the other's tips broke off. there is certainly room for improvement.
the tail was made with a lot of help by my mom. sewn from a fine soft plush fur, filled with short strips of rubberfoam, and the tuft is a cheap carneval wig. but it doesn't work as desired due to those wigs being made of strips of hair sewn to a fabric, and you can see it through the fuzz. at least it's lightweight and wags gently with my movement.
the images below are done by a good friend, Feuerfunke, at a little furry con here in germany that was held early october. I only posed with the bow, I guess the sinew would have taken more claws off. XD
all in all it was lots of fun. I suited up 4 of the 5 days, it wasn't as stuffy and uncomfortable as anticipated (mild to cool weather), I was able to navigate without bumping people by accident... there are a few details that need cushioning with the mask, but there. all in all I seem to have spent 14 hours in suit. it would have been more if not for the issues with some edges and the headband.
now I need to create a char sheet for this kitty. ^^

well, a lot of people were surprised. I have been "planning" since eurofurence 4 back in '98, went a few steps forward a few years ago, but this is the first real thing. ^^
I really thought it would be hotter under that fluff. but even in the sun it wasn't too uncomfortable. then again it's a partial. I have yet to try it in hot weather... and might have to create sleeves until that so I can wear a teeshirt.

excellent then you are clearly doing something right if no one has become offended with your antics. :) I bet you make things quite cute as well as you play yourself off. :) I too am wishing for the pandemic stuff to be over with so that fursuit events can resume once again and this Uni can go out and try to bring a little happiness to people once more.
those wigs are made of separate strips with the hair to them, that are put oin to form patterns. that way the hair lays in certain directions. in my opinion the result doesn't look good, as the artifical hair is curved into shape, too. at least it wasn't too expensive, I paid about 14 euro for it.
yes, the mane looks good. relatively short, and fluffy, and soft. interesting thing is that the ebay sale showed a zipper in the back, but mine hasn't one: instead they added an inliner. fine with me, it's stretchy enough to hold the headstrap while putting it on. :)
and I just love the friendly, curious, and slightly surprised expression. :) and nothing is coming apart yet, either! ^^
(though I had to melt the whiskers into the nose from inside, my glue wasn't suitable for it, but that's mine doing)

dankefein. hat spaß gemacht, und ich war überrascht daß meine mutter so bereitwillig am schweif mitgemacht hat. sonst gabs immer so sprüche wie "was willst du mit dem zeug?" etc
ja, genau. die rutschen leider sehr, mit den latexhandschuhen bleiben sie zumindest auf der hand. daß die krallen abbrechen ist aber eher meine schuld, ich brauch halt etwas kraft zum anziehen. :P
deine neueren versionen sind leider viel zu eng geworden, ich vermute stark wegen dem futter, das du mit eingenäht hast. jetzt geben die nähte nicht nach und ich kann nur zur hälfte reinschlüpfen... sehr schade.
