So you don't have to put holes in your clothes with the harness? Are you using earth magnets in the harness and the tail? I guess that would work.

Trade secret. Had I not taken 2 weeks out of production to create it I would be far more forthcoming about how it works. As soon as I get it patented (the exact apparatus, that is, not the idea itself) I will give a basic how to. And share with the community. As I do plan on sharing. I just don't want a blatant copy right off the bat.

Hey Jeffy, can you do a skunk tail with this method? I've been wanting an upright tail for Sweettart and could never get one to work properly without having to resort to a delrin rod, which I am loathe to do.

Hand's down the coolest looking over-sized tail I've seen. Usually they look so doofy and awkward but this looks pretty cool and the fact that the shirt isn't tenting out behind you is a huge aesthetic plus.

the tenting shirt thing always annoyed me. I was hell bent on making something that would be a little more natural.

This is really nice. When I was imagining my suit, it would have a tail like this. Was trying to think of ways to do it, and you got it down. It does look very natural!

As I said in your other photo, this will be interesting to see the comissioner wearing. I'm a little shorter than her, so I can only imagine.

Does it change the dimensions of the tail?

yes and no. With fur as long as that you can nearly double it up, and maintain appearance. So while the tail itself dose not actually change size it will look roughly the same regardless of who is wearing it. Well, within reason of course. If anything I thought it was going to be too small. Squirrel tails take up nearly 50% of their over body length. If you live in Orlando, seeing that you are about the same size, you could model. I always need correct sized people, so the costume looks how it should.

Interesting. I don't think Dirtiran would mind if it was big on her though :P.

I'm on the other side of the country and I don't think I could survive Florida's weather. Or I wouldn't mind at all modeling for the smaller suits you make.


I did briefly meet you while you were at the dance/rave at FC. I was standing next to Manda Panda in Sync's Cricket partial. I couldn't read your badge, because it was too dark and the vision through the mask. Then I got suddenly really hot and had to leave the room.

OMG, that is awesomeness. If you ever do more of these or develop a "kit", I'd love to get one! My tail is awesome, but I can never have a partial suit with my current setup and would hate having to rip holes in my shirts to wear my tail!

We can simply ask Lacy and Nick if they are Okay with me modifying your existing tail. It can be rather taboo for a maker to modify another makers creation. I figure it's never a bad idea to ask.
