I remember standing with her in the queue for the art show, using a small hand mirror to try and get a sneak preview, and later complaining on the distinct lack of both females and wolves in the art show. Later she presented me with his picture. I was touched beyond words. Good memories.

Unfortunately I was also touched beyond common sense. You know those times when you only realise what you should have done much later? I expressed happiness and gratitude and hugged her and said thank you but... I should have done something else, even though I'm still not sure to this day exactly what. Here was this young pretty girl who kept approaching me, and I like to think that meant we were friends, even if we saw each other just once a year. I just wish I could have been a better friend.
