Inktober 11/31 WTS: Guardian Robots
An important distinction I always try to make is that the Will To Survive universe is an Apocalyptic setting, not a post-apocalyptic setting. There difference here is that there's still an active fight against what's ushering in the apocalypse, and the infrastructure of the old world is still largely in play within the setting. The Guardian Robotics Company, subsidiary of a larger electronics company, was one of the foremost manufacturers of robots before World War III, and many of their models still remain during the Cure Crisis. While robotics is not an entirely refined science for domestic use, the Company was breaking new ground constantly with their constant advances. The three models their production lines offered were Ultra-Heavy Loader/Security-Use Robots; which were easily reworked for heavy manufacturing, Assembly/Multi-Purpose and Monitoring Line 2-2L, and the prolific Multi-Purpose Utility Robot which found breakaway success domestically before being cut short. Without the onset of the war demanding increased production of combat models and turning their focus to increasingly sophisticated smart weaponry, it's impossible to tell where humanity might find its robotic sciences.
