The awakening (1.)
"What happened?! Where am I?! W..w..who am I? Ouch, my head hurts." So I start up and the questions shoot through my head. I sit on a bed, a not so white sheet underneath, my legs bent, left and right beside me. As I look around I realize that I am in a rather small room. Next to the bed there is only a dark wooden cupboard in which clothes are stored, a wooden chair and a sink. The floor and the walls are covered with milky tiles and very bare.
The room seems eerily cool but familiar and somehow gives me security. My paws feel something under the ceiling, which is still half above my legs. My fingertips rub against something soft and the protective blanket is knocked to the side a little.
Non-living eyes look at me from underneath, surrounded by a soft fluffy head with beak and a body. Reminiscent of a penguin, but with dark blue pattern on the head and light blue body, white face (Piplup, Pokemon). A smile plays around my lips as I look into the cute face and my fingertips rub a little bit over the head, the body of the little cuddly toy, which I now press firmly against me. I close my eyes a little bit, but my ears are still on the alert. Suddenly a thought comes into my head and I only stay in this position for a short time before I start to speak "I know you". This was directed to the soft toy, which I now let fall slightly down into my arms and continue looking at it with a smile. "When I see you like this, one name comes back to my mind... namely... 'Flocke'." No reaction from the little one, but I don't let go and ask "Is that your name?" before I press it against my chest again.
'Yes, that's my name' a voice suddenly came to my ears and they twitched. Unbelievingly I look at my new or old friend again, who probably can't move by himself, but at least he is talking to me. "Flocke? You can talk?" I asked him at first a little insecure but still glad that I could talk. 'Sure I can. You can talk too, can't you?' The cuddly toy replied teasingly, which made me think for a moment, but I too quickly replied "yes, but I'm a living being too? Sure I can talk! But I'm glad that you can too." With these words I pressed the plush piplup close to me again, with a satisfied smile on my lips.
