Bio:
During Uncle Doug's inventing career, he was asked by the government to create a prototype for a new robotic soldier for military use against enemy attacks. Doug refused the offer, seeing how that although technology is wonderful, he doesn't want it to rule over furry-kind. But, the government insisted, and Doug was put to work on his prototype design. The end result was a super-powerful robotic soldier that Doug decided to dub "GS-8699," and the government was ready to begin mass production of the robot soldier.
However, Doug put a last-minute default programming in GS's memory chip: while GS is pretty powerful, he doesn't want to use his robot skills to fight crime, and would rather use his weaponry to protect his family from any various threats. So, GS was put to work being Doug's assistant/housekeeper, working with him in the lab, and helping his wife and kids around the house, doing chores and using his computer brain to help the kids with their homework. The government was distraught by this move seeing how their desired "perfect soldier" is reduced to a housekeeper, but for a while, this move worked, and the government's desire for a robotic soldier faded away. And, Doug was proud of GS, even declaring him to be his greatest achievement.
As time went on, GS's soldier programming began to show more, but only whenever Doug, his family, or those close to him feel threatened. However, when Doug's daughter, Kaitlynn, came home from a night of patrolling as the Feline Phantasm, he thought she was an intruder, and immediately attacked her. After a big fight in the backyard, Kaitlynn unmasked herself in front of GS, and he felt guilty about accidentally attacking his creator's own daughter. Afterwards, he then had a reboot of his system, and began to understand why Kaitlynn dons her cousin's old persona to fight crime. So, in between his job as Doug's assistant/housekeeper, GS then became the Feline Phantasm's occasional partner, helping her to clean up crime in Catsville.
While Kitty herself has known about GS ever since she was a kitten, John, Dudley, and everyone else on Team Katswell were basically kept in the dark about his existence until they were invited to the Katswell Family Reunion some time later. When they saw GS serving refreshments at the party, Dudley thought that a robot butler was awesome, Allison was jealous that SHE didn't have a robot servant working at HER mansion, and Niles was concerned that robots like him might take over furry jobs. However, when Donovan, Ice Claws, and the Chameleon were tasked by General Guar to blow up the Catsville Town Hall, GS proved to the Team that he was much more than a housekeeper, and has amazing skills that even made THEM impressed. After foiling DOOM's evil scheme, Kitty was thankful for GS's help along with Kaitlynn's, and continued making a name for himself in helping both Team Katswell and the Feline Phantasm keep the world safe from evil.
Personality & Traits:
GS-8699 is pretty much a typical robot on the surface, always calculating "logic," and speaking in a computery sounding voice, but deep down, he's actually much more than that. It may be Doug's programming to keep him out of government hands, but GS has a sense of independence, and would rather be kind to the weak than be a soulless killing machine for the military. He would much rather help Doug's family live pretty happy lives as opposed to becoming a mindless killer for the military.
But, when his family is threatened, however, GS doesn't hold back, and unleashes his intended weaponry upon said attackers. He DOES however, have a limit to how much he can use his weaponry, and doesn't like to cause TOO much damage to his own hometown. But, his most hilarious weakness is the fact that he's a germophobic, and not just referring to computer viruses in his mainframe. That meant he likes to clean everything so his creator and his family could have healthy, germ-free lives.
GS is also pretty approachable for a robot. Whenever the Katswell family gets together, he's usually a big conversation piece because of his surprisingly independent nature despite his origins as a weapon of war. He also gets along very well with Doug's kids, especially Kaitlynn, whom he eventually became the occasional partner to when she became the Feline Phantasm. But, he puts his faith the most in his creator, Doug Katswell, and is proud to serve him as his protector and housekeeper.
Well, that's GS-8699 for "TUFF: Team Katswell."
