Anthro Hex going urrrrr! Yeah, I know I draw him a lot but it's so much fun drawing an ugly grumpy bad guy XD
I have to confess I'm really proud of this. Because I have such bad eye/ hand co-ordination I've never been very good with a paint brush so I thought I wouldn't be able to do real media very well. But I've found a working method now of doing real media as good as my digital colouring, yay! :D It takes longer which is the only disadvantage.
Usual scanner doesn't like real-media complaint!

I do a watercolor base layer, then go in with the detailed pencil colouring. I keep a very fine point on the pencils to get the fine fur detail and work from dark to light. After that I then use a very fine brush and lightly dry brush in some acrylic to add a little highlight and additional detail to the fur and to add the lighting effects. ^^
