You know, I think the stunning irony just hit me like with the subtlety of a crate full of bricks smashing into my face. She's an alien... and she's crazy about Earth's interpretation of extraterrestrial beings, despite being born from a habitable exoplanet, from another extrasolar system.

That's the joke! She's like if an actual wizard was completely wowed by a card trick, or something like that. :P

Lemme guess, she's studied people from time periods where Star Wars and Star Trek were big things and alien lifeforms were a new and most discussed concept? Not that they aren't, but I could definitely see her trying to cram all those movies in one night... only for her to start nodding off without realizing it. Unless, her biological clock is radically different and she can go without sleep longer than us.

Most likely! I could imagine her very often ending up asleep on the couch with stuff like old Star Trek quietly playing on the tv.

Funny, so am I. Mm... I think I'd take it rather slowly. It'd be cliché, but I think it'd work: let's say her and I are watching a Star Trek movie together. I yawn around halfway in, put my arm around her like those people in the movies do, and pull her a bit closer to me slowly... and ask, "So, um... You having a good time with me?" If she nods yes, I'd follow that with: "...Wanna share a kiss with me?", my face bright red after asking. Cliché and cheesy, yes.
