The original daikaiju that was reverse-kaijumorphed from Tracy, Tricerus was inspired by the defunct 70's Godzilla script "Godzilla vs. Satan" (I kid you not!) and the idea that, just like a triceratops was one of the lord high badasses of the dinosaurs, its irradiated/mutated decendant would be the only creature tough enough to keep the souls of dead giant radioactive monsters from returning to Earth.
