I always love when writers give the actual physics on how dragons are capable of producing the various things they spew =3 It's so cool...like I remember I think it was in Star Ocean it was explained that the dragons in that game would breathe fire by releasing methane from a special gland then quickly grit their teeth to ignite the gas--thus being able to blow fire ^^

I'd love to hear the the explanation behind lightening breath!

Heh, I try to give some reasons about their abilities more than just 'magic'.
The commissioner wanted an electric dragon. I came with three different designs, he picked this one, although the original didn't have wings.

Here is a detailed of what I can put for non-magic, but physical energy base electricity also called Bioelectricity:

A dragon's Lightning breath, is super charged bioelectricity.

Super charged Bioelectricity is produced from a thin gas that is negatively charged, the gas comes out quickly from the mouth of the dragon from the very digested food and water. The body absorbs positive energy from the consumed element. The mouth's teeth are slightly made of cobalt, and zinc, and more of carbon. The bodies' neural functions are always positively charge. And it can be discharge only from the teeth. Combining the negatively charge gas with positive body charge to the teeth, it can create bolts of lightning.
