Hello, this is from my old sketchbook that has been lost forever. This is my own version of a sphinx, Egyptian anatomy of course.

I like the old man version rather than the woman you've got going on. :D

Thanks, but the version is more Egyptian rather than Greek, so the it would almost certainly have to be male.
Besides, the Egyptian Sphinx is a creature of wisdom so the old man works perfectly doesn't it?
Besides, I always loved the rugged look.

Well the statue in Egypt is obviously male, but yeah, I see what you mean.
Besides this is MY version of a sphinx.
I was actually inspired by the bald crown and mane of hair from Tamora Pierce's character Frostpine in "The Circle of Magic".
