Time for a cheesy description~

I can't believe it's been a year already! It feels like yesterday when I drew that group pic. ;W; But at the same time, I feel like I've had these characters for far longer if that makes sense :XD:
It's funny, I remember when I had this idea to draw the planets as dragons, it was just gonna be a one time thing and never draw them again. Just something for fun. BUT NOPE!
I fell in love with their designs and felt it was a waste to not ever draw them again. ;o; So I decided to make them into my very own OC's~ And BOY that was the best decision! :D
I remember I was gonna make them into like, these supa serious and elegant characters but I legit didn't know what to with that?? It was too boring imo...And then the first comic came along XD https://www.deviantart.com/plaguedo.....ster-824151708

And after that, they are who they are today haha
It was a lot of fun trying to figure out their personalities and stuff like that. It kind of took me a while to figure it out because I really wanted them all to be different from one another and not one note. Some personalities I can't actually relate to so it was hard at times, but fun though.^^ I remember Jupiter AND Saturn were both supposed to be the fatherly-figures and wisest dragons and everyone came to the both of them for advice and to vent etc. They were basically clones and I didn't care for that. So ofc, I gave that personality to Jupiter, and made Saturn this vain idiot who obsesses over his looks (I got that idea from the fact that most people's favorite planet/ think the prettiest planet seems to be Saturn, so I thought that made sense) but he's not heartless or anything. :p
Their designs really didn't change much. The biggest change would be for Uranus, he looked so weird and very feminine and some people thought he was female. xD His snout progressively got shorter and blockier. And got thicc eyebrows 8) Also he used to smile back then and that's ooc and CURSED. And right from the start I knew that I was gonna make Uranus and Neptune twin brothers. c:
At first too, I was thinking of making Venus and Earth siblings as well, but idk I thought it was too much and I liked Neptune and Uranus being like, a rare case? Idk xD
Mars was super skinny damn o: then I made him macho muscular. I wanted to make their body types a bit more diverse. Also Earth's hair got more and more big and fluffy. lol
Omg...The best change I have ever done was make Venus female. xD YEAH. She was a dude at first. Idk why I thought that was a good idea like what lmao
I just love the fact that she's the only female of the group though. (She doesn't care)
Some characters basically wrote themselves and I knew right away what they'd be like. Like friggin Pluto, I knew he was gonna be a smug punny loveable lil shit. XD
Mercury was one of the hardest for me to think of personality wise. Then I thought it'd be cute to have him be the BFF of Pluto since they're both the smallest bois. ;w;

Really the only thing I haven't thought up of was like, where did the planet dragons come from? How/were they 'born'?? How are Uranus and Neptune blood related??? I get questions like that sometimes and I just don't know...
None of the planet dragons have parents or anything so I'm stumped on this lol
Though to be quite honest, that's not super important to me at all. :P They just exist, Neptune and Uranus are related, oh and humans don't question the fact they are living on a friggin dragon and there's other giant dragons out in space it's totally normal. xD

I feel like I've gotten a bit better at writing as well since I've made the Planet Dragons, because I was super determined to write about them and their universe. I never been confident in my writing skills. ;v; Still not 100% and I have trouble with some things, but it's a little better. ^^
So yeah!
I'm super glad I made these guys into my characters cause they're so much fun and they legit make me really happy, and the fact that you guys love them and are interested in their universe, personalities etc. really motivates me
