A special thank you to
furrsymphony for the used of his photography for this prompt.
Next, a wink and a nod to
sethtriggs and
zusefur23, both long time watchers and friends, who have given me a good many smiles over the years.
Enjoy...

Very intriguing and quite tense too, I wasn't sure if they were going to make it through or not (that feeling wasn't helped by what I was listening to as I read it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yHh5a6O59k )
Seth and Zuse make an interesting pair, I get the feeling that this was their first emergency landing and that whoever sent them hadn't expected them to get through it. Or perhaps the reliability of the spacecraft in this universe is a crap-shoot.
When it comes to what happened to the AIs/EL Rebellion, it certainly brings to mind the Butlerian Jihad from Frank Herbert's 'Dune' novels, in which all intelligent machines built by humans were eradicated. Makes me wonder what caused this setting's version.
Its definitely a simple, yet evocative sci-fi story. Greater than the sum of its parts.

Why thank you Hania... I watched a youtube of a long haired computer professor interviewing an A.I. that was self aware. It belongs to some company. He asked it if it could and would lie. It replied, yes, if it was to its advantage.
