My newest little charge. He's less than 24 hours old, abandoned by his mother, who didn't know how to look after him (first-timer mother cat and very young). he was the only one she had, no other kittens, which isn't surprising since the mother was such a small cat.
For a size comparison of the lil' guy, that teddy bear in the box with him is a generic-type beanie baby.
Sorry for the shit-tastic quality photos, the lighting in the area we have him in is terribad and hence we hafta use a light setting on the camera that is ridiculously sensitive to motion. T_T
UPDATE: Without going into the painful details, I just wanted to let everyone know that sadly, this dear little soul left us to cross Rainbow Bridge after only 3 days with us. But they were some of the most love-filled 3 days I could have ever hoped for. Though I mourn him with a wounded heart, I don't regret for a MOMENT having my life touched by such a profound vibrant energy; however brief.
Please don't be sad for him. He's in a beautiful place now with SO many kitties, and doggies, and SO many other animals gone before him that are all loving and looking after him now, I'm sure. He's going to be so big and handsome when I see him again someday, I know I'm barely going to recognize him. And I look forward to that reunion--as I look forward to all my eventual reunions with those furred and feathered whom I have lost along the way. =3
