I decided I liked the World Tour series enough to get some of the sketches finalized, starting with the one of Xodiac in an Indian sari. It was the most intricate of the bunch, with lots of potential, and I wanted to see it in glorious color. I'd say it came out very well! Doesn't he look pretty? So bright and colorful!

Hey Xodiac. Hope you've been holding up well!
Being the massive sucker for jewelry that I am, I certainly appreciate the decision to color this one. One of my friends is a great font of knowledge on Indian culture, and then my mom has a thing for Bollywood movies, so this is an aesthetic I run into a lot in my own musings. A lot of my own over the top jewelry musings take inspiration from Indian bridal jewelry, and the idea that one might run chains between the horns of someone who has them has come up a few times. It's interesting to think about how style trends might evolve around species that have such features that humans don't. I may have to discuss it more between my friends.

In the story it was kind of ad hoc, but if horns like this were common I can imagine elaborate jewelry nets evolving in at least some regions, filling the area between the horns with elaborately designed webbing of jewelry and lace. And, in a less traditional culture, advertising.
