i am playing with the virtual camera, trying to figure out the look of my animation. I think I wan to work in all the coolness of 3D space, but the design of the 2d tradition.

Well, then do cel-shaded 3d, I personally dont like the style because it looks very articifical, but its like you described, all the coolness of the 2d space but si lthe simplicity of celshading.
