Voretober day 17: Stealing
Now that she had cornered her prey against a rocky cliff, Faith could take her sweet time. Stepping out from the shadows of the trees, letting her glowing eyes into the light.
Jake looked up, unable to keep the smile from appearing on his face.
“What are you going to do now~? You’re between a rock and a soft place, precious~.” The dragoness brought her head low, mimicking a prowling lizard closing in on her prey. “I’d like to give you a choice now~. Come in on your own accord, and I’ll be especially gentle~.”
The boy kept stepping backward, more out of an instinct his body gave at the fact an enormous predator was closing in, despite the close friend she was. Yet through all of that, he never ceased smiling. “Gentle?”
“Mhm~.” She herded him closer to the cliff, flicking out her tongue. “Nice, smooth, and gentle~.” Finally, Faith got his back hitting the rocky wall. “You’re going down my throat one way or another~.”
Meanwhile, Jake’s face had become a flush of red. “When you put it like that…”
Not a second later, Faith’s tongue stuck out, giving Jake a lick on the entire front of his body. As her prey laughed, she pinned him against the wall with her snout.
“Okay! Okay!” The boy laughed uncontrollably. “If you want to do this like that, go ahead!”
“Boring!” Shouted a female voice from above them both.
The boy and dragon looked up confusedly. On the edge of the cliff was a midnight black panther they both knew. Sierra.
She was leisurely laying down, paws dangling from the cliff. “I could have any prey crawl down my throat, but you two did that whole chase for a willing swallow?”
“Since when did you ever critique on how I eat my precious?” Faith gave a slight glare at the panther.
“Since I got bored today and decided to entertain myself watching you chase.”
“Well, you completely ruined the flow now!” The dragon snarled.
“Oh?” The panther spoke smugly. “Fine, I’ll add a twist.” And then POOF in a flash of amethyst flame she was gone! Simultaneously, a flash of the same magical flame appeared on Faith’s snout, which was still pointed up at the clifftop. Sierra looked down at Faith’s surprised eyes with a grin. “I’ll make you earn your ‘precious!’” Turning one-eighty degrees, she leaped downward towards Jake. Like in some cartoon, her jaws landed on the boy, and in less than half a second, he was up to his feet in her throat. With an audible swallow, the feet disappeared down her throat, entering her sloshing gut, to which she patted teasingly, looking back up at Faith’s shocked face. “Want him~?” Another burst of flame and Sierra’s voice came from behind Faith. “Better come catch him~!”
Faith snapped out of her frozen, shocked state and quickly darted her head everywhere until her eyes landed on Sierra. “HEY!” She shouted, rapidly spinning and giving chase.
The panther didn’t hesitate to dash off. To rub salt on the wound, she kept pace with Faith’s speed, making her always just barely out of reach.
The chase went on for hours, and when Faith would lose track, she’d end up seeing two panthers with big bellies, pick one to chase, lose track of that, see three, and the whole process would repeat.
It around noon when Faith had cornered Jake. Now it was midnight.
The dragon panted, taking heavy steps. It was one of the insanely rare times she had ever been so winded. Tripping on a rock, she fell forward, plopping her chin on the ground.
Sierra appeared from behind a tree, walking slowly with a smug smile, sitting down a few yards away.
Faith’s eyes narrowed at her, but she did nothing. “Fine. You win.”
Sierra giggled loudly. “I always win, sweetheart.” Her paw caressed her belly as it groaned loudly, softening and shrinking until Jake was gone.
Gone for a second, as a purple flash covered the trees for the briefest of moments.
Faith stretched out her tongue, going as far as it could, but it was an inch out of reach of Faith.
Jake’s eyes opened, and when he looked at Faith, he laughed. Never had he seen her so tired. “I think I’ll just lay here Faith, I’m pretty tired.”
“OH, SHUT IT!” Faith exhaled.
Sierra laid down with Jake, cuddling him. “Just remember, I can always take him away~.”
“Even you couldn’t escape me if you ever did that.”
Once again, the panther was amused. “You have grit, sweetie.”
“You don’t know the half of it.”
Jake finally spoke out. “I have literally been in a stomach for twelve hours. If you want to talk about grit.”
“Well, my magic didn’t make you hungry or anything!” Sierra retorted.
“But still…”
“Oh hush,” the panther covered his mouth. “Just sleep.”
And so, they slept, Jake still out of reach of Faith.
Yay! I got a Voretober thing done! I wanted to write two Voretober stories a week, but with college it's just too much! I want to write so badly... not just for you guys but because I love it! It's not easy when I'm already on the computer typing assignments all day...
But yeah, a little concept I sure enjoyed writing! Sierra stealing away Jake!
