Slaver Crab (Chalaa) - Take Two
Chalaa, also known as "slaver crabs", are a highly speciesist race. They view most humanoid species as completely inferior, much in the same way we generally view non-humanoids. Just like we can't really accept a rat as having intelligence or worth similar to our own, they can't accept humanoids as having intelligence or worth similar to theirs.
This has led to a somewhat terrifying culture. Chalaa regularly enslave humanoid species and breed them for continued use. While the males are sent off to do hard labour or kept in the slave camps, Chalaa find creative ways to abuse the females.
They are not nice. At all. They really will eat babies, for fun.
