Vhessen are the Enterran standin for Hollow Knight's vessels. They are a proper species, and not completely made of void and have some very clear differences.

Shown is Aloka, or Little Ghost, or the Knight in their adult form being a model for a normal Vhessen, standing next to a Warbred in their natural form, to scale.

Next to that, to scale, is the Warbred's Warbeast form, or Wereform, something all Warbred have, unique to normal Vhessen who can not shift.

Normal Vhessen are playful, social, friendly, very active, love to explore, but can be skittish.

Warbred are fierce fighters, absolutely fearless; but they are also known to be docile, obedient, and downright lazy. They look more dangerous than they are and they will not attack unless ordered to by a superior officer or their King, or provoked. Provoking one is surprisingly difficult. They are actually super chill and friendly when not following orders otherwise.
