Although I am atheist, this IS NOT an anti-religion song. By "heaven" it means the view of a life of perfection and the way people try to push their opinions on everyone else. Personally, I love this song. And for my birthday will be getting a gorgeous tattoo resembling both the song and the meaning which I believe to be true of this world and and a lot of people who keep on following.
