I study animation at school a long time ago (tho it was mostly for 3D) and started doing pixel art for Roll20 a few years ago but started with pixel art animations last year, so it was mostly trial and error (and a bunch of tutorials and guides on how to make some things better :P).
Its always easier if you have that kind of school in your daily routine.
I am... thinking about to try my hands on pixel art myself. Just need to find the right tutorials and guides myself I suppose. Trial and Error is something I am most familiar with from my own art ^^;
