Last Saucer Beast of October 2020, folks.
Goda Goda was the monster of the week on Ep.30 of UFO Robot Grendizer, this episode mark as well the introduction of JFO (Japanese Flying Object) which replace Koji's TFO vessel. Goda Goda was Two Saucer Beasts in one with 2 identical heads: It had a Purple Hamburger like shape UFO/Body, with 4 arms, one with a driller, two yellowish-green fins on top. Its Body is made of a Electrical Mineral from the Planet Goda (hence the name of the Beast). The Beast would split up to attack an enemy from both sides, discharging a powerful electrical charge that destroy its objective. The Bottom part had levels, which ended in in a red dome. It had red ports around the edges of the middle portion. Besides its Electrical and Driller attacks, Goda could open fire from it finger tips.
When a small meteorite crashes into a Zoo, incapacitating a lion, the Observatory determine the rock to be charge up with great amounts of Electricity, which can be of great power source and more could exist in space, though Umon suspect on the wrong hands can be destructive; which Vega is well aware of, as planet of origin, Goda, is made of this stuff, and the new Beast, Goda Goda, is made and power by it. Goda Goda is launch for a test run and destroys a Meteor.
On Earth, Koji attempts to make a test flight of his new built JFO, the TFO's replacement, under a storm, much to the protest of Daisuke and Hikaru: in his rush to take off, the mobile launch pad is hit by lighting collapsing, and one of the support beams hitting Daisuke in the arm, though he states no harm was done (of course he is lying, with great deal of ramifications). Later, Goda Goda is detected by the observatory and Daisuke tries to, but collapses: he is taken to the Medical Bay were studying the odd nature of his wound and the other symptoms, Umon concludes Daisuke is suffering from Radiation Poisoning. As Umon and Hikaru proceed to treat Daisuke, Koji feeling responsible, decides to take on the Beast which already attacking the city, in an attempt by Vega to force Grendizer out: Danbi also assist in trying to shutdown the Beast with Arrows, though it goes as one would expect. Koji arrives and pursues Goda.
Daisuke later recovers conscious, and after questioning from Umon, Daisuke explains is a scar from the day Vega invaded Planet Fleed: during the attack been wounded by its weaponry which contains high levels of Radioactive Vegatron. Daisuke departs on Grendizer to fight Goda. Back in the city, Koji continues to make a stand, but is shutdown by the Beast, Grendizer arrives and fights it while Danbi rescues Koji.
After shutting the monster down, Duke Fleed ejects Grendizer, but the Beast separates to fight the Mecha, pinning it down with its energy attack. Grendizer then tries to outmaneuver the Monsters, causing it to crash into one and the other, and Daisuke takes the chance to dispatch the top half with Double Harken, while destroying the lower half with Space Thunder.
After the battle, Umon recommends Daisuke to take it easy until further treatment can be develop, though he replies that the Radiation won't stop until it reaches his heart, still Daisuke persist to fight on: the news of this reality hits hard on Umon.
