Ink 20 #19/Story 7: Dizzying Blow
-They were both growling,
staring at each other, to the point of ignoring me for a second.
Now’s my chance, I thought.
I reached over for my phone, barely nudging it out of my pants; without making any sudden movement, began typing 9-1
Unfortunately, my newfound luck ran out real fast.
The can I dropped earlier rolled over and hit a nearby trash bin, clanging like crazy.
Their attention went straight back at me.
I barely got time to put the phone back into my pocket, the back one snarled and the front one lunged at me.
I attempted a quick sidestep but-

It was so fast.
One moment it was there.
And the next, it-
