NOTE: Much like I did last time, The full story of the events of Ep.20 will be posted here, and not copy pasted onto the next Tag team Monster pic.

Zaira (along with Baika) was part of the first Phantom Tag Team duo on Ep.20 of the Jeeg Anime, marking the first time in the show two Monsters are used in the same operation. Both Phantoms were at first under the command of Mimashi, and later Himika in the final act. Zaira was a humanoid type Phantom, with various tones of purple, with black feet and dark shoulder pads. It head was adorn with spikes and yellow hair with 3 eyes (one located where the mouth is). Its weapon was a maze it had for a right arm which, when it open, became a spinning shield of four blades that shredded incoming projectiles, as well it open fire from the larger eye in the mouth.

Zaira appears at the start of the Episode, attacking the park and followed Mayumi and her friend Toko (along with the laters pet Koro), burning everything in its path. Mayumi maintaining faith Jeeg would show up on time to save them, unbeknownst to her he was been held by another Phantom, Baika, who ambushed him when on his way to the park. In the attack, Koro tries to protect the girls but is kick by the beast, severely hurting it. The MechaDon 2 arrives and fights Zaira, allowing the girls to see Toko, Koro with her pet angry at Mayumi. Zaira defeats MechaDon2, but is surprise by the Big Shooter, blowing its left arm off. The Phantom retreated immediately.

Meanwhile, Baika continues to fight Jeeg, sticking to him, forcing to disassemble and reassemble to get it off, but doing this, causes Jeeg to exhaust his energy. In a last ditch effort Jeeg uses Knuckle Bomber, damaging the Phantom though not killing it, but Jeeg's power depletes. Under Himika's command, both Phantoms are brought back for repairs for a larger attack on the Build Base. Afterwards Jeeg is also retreated, and Hiroshi taken to the Medical Bay, though not serious, he need some rest.

Side Note: This one of the many inconsistancies that drive me nuts about the show, because Hiroshi a CYBORG who forms the head of the Robot, not the Body and he is brought out cover in bandages. When Jeeg fails, is because its power source was depleded in the fight, nothing got broke or damage.

Elsewhere, Mayumi visits Toko to see of little Koro's condition, but is chastised by her, calling Mayumi a liar. Mayumi returns home and destroys her drawing of Jeeg, expressing hated towards her hero.

Sidenote2: yeah, is one of those Episodes, but is not annoying and is actually well explain.

As Mayumi and Kikue move to the Lab, the facility is on high alert, Miwa patrolling the area around the Shooter. Don visits Hiroshi boasting how MechaDon save the day - exaggerating the fight, of course- and the two argue about Mayumi been their biggest fan (My God, the writing at time:P). Don leaves, and Hiroshi walks out of his room when he sees his mother walking towards the Computer Room, to talk to Shiba: Hiroshi overhears their conversation and learns what had unfolded at the park. Kikue points out to Shiba that for Mayumi, since his death, Jeeg replace him as figure of support, so not been there for her when she needed him the most may have given the sense of loss a second time. Hiroshi leaves, just as Zaira appears for a second attack.

Riding the bike, Hiroshi Jumps a cliff and tries to transform, but still, he finds difficulty due to his condition and crashes in the forest as Zaira passes by and attacks the lab, repealing the attacks from the Big Shooter and burning the Mechadon – the later in comical cartoony fashion. Baika then joins in the attack as the Dome portion of Build base takes off with its energy shield on: Hiroshi's family and the Lab Staff on board, but Baika jumps onto it, preventing them from escaping. In the woods, Hiroshi crawls back to his bike, pushed by the words of his father, and tries again, succeeding the transformation this time and call Michi, assembling Jeeg this time and runs back to the lab to fight the Phantoms, of course Mayumi cheering.

Baika takes on Jeeg first and sticks to Jeeg, but learning from his previous fight, he builds off and builds back again, to dispose of Baika with Knuckle Bombers. Jeeg then calls for the Mach Drills, and disposes of the Zaira instantly.

Sidenote3: Really, there wasn't much of action in the final act. By the end, Koro, the puppy is fine, Toko and Mayumi are friends again, and Hiroshi promises to keep on fighting for her and defend Japan. Don't expect a lot of action in this episode, as much is Character focus on Mayumi's relation to Jeeg.
