Another in the series of pieces I have commissioned by Ron Spencer and thought that I would show here. THIS is a "Doom Worm". It is a creature that characters fight in the LARPs that my friends run and play in.
When players hear the call "It's a Doom Worm" they know it's gonna be a deadly fight. But up until now no one's ever tried drawing it... muah-hah-hah.

I have hand-chosen which of the creatures Ron will draw because I'm familiar with his style--I'm not going to ask him to draw anything cuddly or sweet unless it has chitinous exoskeleton, bristling fur, or a sinewy muscular physique.

The violet/purple tongue is kind of a tribute to Spencer's own coloring style.

What do you think? Suggestions on coloring technique? I'd love to hear from digital colorists out there.
