For this week's personal project, I wanted to focus on another Bloodborne boss that I very much enjoy.
The first time I was aware of Vicar Amelia's existence was through fanart, unsurprisingly. As it turns out she's one of the most popular characters in Bloodborne, especially from the furry fandom side of things. This is perhaps why I drew Amelia more thick than I perhaps should've. Not that it's a problem, it's just an unconscious decision to go against model, and realizing when it's too late to rectify.
Or maybe I just like it like that and my instinct knows me better than I want to admit.
There's something funny about how both Vicars turned into massive wolf-like beasts with the rationale of a brick. Not sure what From Software was trying to say with this design and story decision, but I enjoy the consistency.
Please, let me know what you think of it in the comments. I appreciate each and every single one I receive.
You can check the Making Of post right here.
Thank you!

There's an underlying theme of how all the manners of pursuit of greater power in Bloodborne are, in essence, an exercise in futility. The vicars get turned into mindless beasts through use of the blood. Provost Wilhelm is turned into a barely functioning vegetable from his efforts to line his mind with eyes. The Great Ones themselves are revealed to be pursuing a goal that ultimately will get both them and anyone who follows them killed. And all three endings carry a note that your actions just made things worse.
Granted that's based entirely on just one possible interpretation of the game's lore. You could easily see it as something else and still be equally correct. That's what I love most about From Software games.
