Ruby
(I got this poor child up past her bedtime, so give her some applause please! π‘)
This is a test drawing for a new-ish character of mine: Ruby!
What was I testing?
Just the spotty design on her suit, is all.
It was originally more complicated (the spots morphed into each other and such), but I realized the work that I'd have to do EACH AND EVERY TIME wasn't worth it. I'm lazy and tired all the time. I want to get to the finished product as soon as possible.
Sorry.
I think it's really obvious who this is supposed to be.
If Rigby is like a Miles Morales Danny Phantom, then this should be... Danielle, right?
Yes, I made Halfa!Rigby a clone. I like Danielle and I'm pissed that Bitch Fartman's bullshit has screwed her over. (Like seriously- D-Stabilized was the ONLY good episode of the season that doesn't exist. Probably because it was written by someone with some frigging sense.)
I feel that she's kinda underrated and she got shafted over the budget thing. (Lemme just talk to him. I just want to talk. π« ππͺ) She would have been adopted by the Fentons... π
Anyway, in my personal way of making up for it, I, err, uh... Made my own... "Dani". (Ugh, I hate calling her that.)
She's so cute, I'm going through that feeling where you really want a bunch of merch of a character who belongs to you, right?
(Removed my previous cute aggression comments here, as I don't feel that way anymore. I think it was a combination of me being tired and overstimulated by her cuteness after drawing her. I tend to think violent thoughts towards my characters when those combination of things occur. ...I might need to consult someone about that- β)
(I left them on deviantART if you really care.)
The reason she looks like that is because she's an "imperfect" clone, of course. I wasn't directly referencing Danielle's Dumpster fire of an outfit, because- I mean, what the fuck
Isn't it supposed to be a Hazmat suit? Like Danny's?? And, it's now a midriff-baring, pop star looking... Whatever it is??? WHAT'S IT SUPPOSED TO PROTECT HER FROM???? And, why would a 12-year-old be wearing something like that to "distract the villains with the sexy" like- Oh god, VLAD YOU SICKO WHAT THE HELL MAN π€’
(Ah, it was fun pretending to be an anti there for a second, like I actually give a f-)
Anyway, the spots and mix-match coloring was supposed to make her look "incomplete" or even possibly "poorly cloned" as while her suit looks... pretty cool actually! Like really cool! -is a mixture of the "before and after" looks which is kinda... concerning.π¬
Originally (spoiler) was going to just write her off as a failure as usual, because... Well... She's a gross little G I R L and he wants a tough little B O Y. But, he decides to use her for her natural Woobieness. I mean, you can't help but feel sorry for her with that tiny pout and the big eyes and- I'll do anything you want, stop looking at me like that! π (And, it works.)
Then again, Rigby's a Woobie, too. I keep just wanting to protect him and give him all the burgers and plushies he wants for all of the nonsense I put him through. Whoops.
She has too much white on her, it's blinding!!!
This is why I usually use accent colors (darker shades of the same colors and such) for this exact reason! The problem is... I got these colors from RIGBY. Who doesn't have long, intrusive hair that causes this issue! I didn't realize it was all the same white, because I haven't drawn him in MONTHS due to the lack of public interest (but I do draw him on paper regularly for myself)!
What's bothering me is... This is what Danny and Danielle would look like in real life! They'd be extremely blinding without all of the shading they have in the show! (Not to mention, they both literally glow bright white. All four of these twerps in the same room and I'll never see again.)
I haven't drawn in two weeks from depression, don't be harsh on me please. I know this probably sucks, but she made me happy to finally see her colored after so long... π (Also, it's Spook Month and I drew a cute (half) ghost girl, don't be ungrateful. π‘)
