I went back to that story from Casper #134, Spooky in ``Boo Bombs''. After failing to catch the raccoon by surprise, Spooky sets up a paper-bag ``boo bomb'' to catch this skunk by surprise. This indicates to me that Spooky does not know how skunks work. Anyway Spooky put a rock in front of the skunk's log and tried to focus the skunk's attention on that and I'm not sure exactly what he figured this would get him.
Anyway, I feel good about how I handled the skunk's anatomy, including that I used a duplicate layer to make it easier to shade in all that much black. Spooky ended up a bit svelte; I think I drew him too close to the skunk to start with. I really like the arch running from his left shoulder down to his foot, though. That's some flow.
The skunk's EMPHASIS on CERTAIN words is drawn from the comic book. I made it a little bigger than it was in the original, but it's still a bit odd if you take the emphasis too literally. (If you ever want to sound dumb, read the BOLD words in any comic strip or comic book like that.)
