I've found they work well on Canson sketchbook paper (I use the 9x12 size books). Cardstock and bristol tend to make the marker dry too quickly and you'll get streaks. Just make sure you designate a "coloring page" in your sketchbook or get a mat to color on, because some color WILL bleed through. If you color one drawing on top of another, you'll get bleed marks on it.
*lol* I doubt you'll have much trouble. I'm not really that good. =P Need more practice with shading. Will tell you to be careful around the edges of your inking. if you go all the way to the line with your broad tip, the color may bleed onto the other side of the line. Get close with the broad tip, and then fill in the remaining space with the fine tip. It takes a little practice to get the hang of it, but if you're quick, you can do it without leaving a streak.
