This little lady is named Candy. As a Spoink Pokemorph, her legs are made up of springs that give her an incredible bounce as she moves about. Even as she’s standing still, she’s constantly moving up and down upon her spring legs. Her legs enable her to jump pretty high and far.
It’s a common misconception that a Spoink’s heart will stop if they stop bouncing, but this is mainly an aspect of folk lore spread around, with nobody truly knowing where it began. Though their heart doesn’t stop, a Spoink can still get sleepy and tired if they aren’t bouncing.
As such, when she isn’t bouncing, Candy often comes off as lethargic and low-energy. While bouncing and moving about, she expresses a great deal of energy and positivity.
The Pearl she carries on top of her head is actually a rubber ball she painted to look like the pearl that Spoinks scrounge up in nature from Clampearls.
