Thirteen Tales 2020: Tale 10
And tonight we have
mysticeevee49 with us as our guest.
Our tales continue, as I Dr. Callyco bring in our tenth tale. This time, or victim is Noel a moogle from Ivalice who knows the dangers of a magic book so tries to show caution, for what good it does him.

For the culprit of this story I'm torn between two suspects: Eshel and Mat.
On the one hand, it seems like a convenient coincidence that both this story and Eshel's took place in libraries, and the winged raccoon Eshel got turned into would be a plausible suspect for the shadow Noel spotted. On the other, Mat has wings as well, and the little ant-sized cat he got turned into would be just the right size to have landed on Noel's back at the end there (you've got to be REALLY tiny to land on the back of a two-inch griffin and be considered a "small weight").
...Also, I'm tempted to pencil Noel in as the culprit behind Kickaha's transformation, but the evidence isn't quite conclusive. What kind of feet do Moogles have? I never played any of the Final Fantasy games.

Actually, scratch both of the suspects I named above; I think Zeelo was the culprit. In his imp form he could fly, and was fairly strong for his size-- which was about half an inch tall, just right for the final scene. I doubt Mat would go to the trouble of flying around just to avoid leaving footsteps, and the narrative would make less sense if the culprit's transformation occurred while Noel was napping.
