Yeah, there was definite Samurai influence in the Hondo-City Judge uniform, which is to be expected, given that it’s Japan and all. (Tidbit: Hondo-City judges have their names printed inside the red sun emblem on their uniforms, but you need to be wearing a Judge-Inspector’s helmet to see it)
Glad you enjoy Detective-Judge Sarcophagus’s look. I used Detective-Judge Armitage from the comics as a template (seemed appropriate, since Canada is a Commonwealth realm and naturally shares a sovereign with Britain), then tried to tool the outfit towards a colder climate. Stills of David Suchet and Kenneth Branagh as Hercule Poirot in Murder on the Orient Express helped in that regard, though in hindsight, it might’ve been helpful to add a scarf.
