Ink 20 #23/Story 11: Letting it rip
- “For such a meathead, you sure do know how to cook”
“Bah, it was just a simple bacon egg benedict,” he sassed back.
“Also, that’s pretty rich of you calling me a meathead, considering your-less-than-stellar diet.”
I stuck my tongue at him.
What’s wrong with that? Meat is awesome.
Protein’s important and awesome AND TASTES GOOD!
Due to how much of a wreck the bed currently is, we had breakfast on the futon.
I laid my head on his chest with a hmph and all he did was laugh.
That absolute dweeblord, he’s lucky his heartbeat is so strong and lively.
I don’t know, something about it is so soothing… I could just listen to it for hours.
And just like that, like a champ, he began to scratch the root of my neck.
It’s like he reads my mind, it’s just the best.
If only this wonderful moment lasted a bit longer…
“Was it you that night?”
What? My entire body immediately tensed up;
my mind froze trying to register the implications of that question.
“At the party. I was following someone. I want to know-”
