Was that really necessary? I mean I know the dropping of the bombs is what Ended WWII but the post war casualties/problems that occurred from the after effects and radiation is quite horrible....

You might be right...but they came out of all alright. I mean look at all the awesome stuff that American buy out of Japan. I figure that more than makes up for what happen.

Oh, and the Statue of liberty was actually a gift to America given to them by the French so technically they'd have to rebuild it.
