I've been playing loads of Final Fantasy IX lately, and i really love playing Chocobo Hot and Cold, so I decided to do some fanart of Zidane and Choco, proud and epic.

never being a fan of ffx series myself (mainly cos its stoylines are just so wacked up) but ive alreays found fan pics of the series interesting..specially the mounts they use

Ahhh this brings back fond memories :) Nice to see other people, besides myself, still rate IX highly. Although i confess, doing the "Hot 'n Cold" minigames used to drive me utterly insane moreso than Tetra Master from FFVIII.
Love the job you did on this. The lighting is really dramatic yet calming like dusk light. The Chocobo itself is fantastic.
Just out of curiosity, is this photoshop or painter? If it is photoshop what brushes did you use?

I hated IX at first, but it grew in my heart to massive heights, there is nearly nothing I don't like about this game!
I'm pretty proud of myself for this one, it came out almost exactly how I pictured it. I used Paint Tool Sai, which is like Painter, except simpler and easier to use. It's also cheaper, which I appreciate greatly.

Final Fantasy 9 was my favorite! I completely beat Chocobo Hot & Cold - got all the world map treasures and everything! There was only ONE that I couldn't manage to find and had to look up after weeks of frustration. Ahhh... good times.

Given the effects of most Trance abilities the fact that they trigger on their own makes them, to me, undependabe. I don't mind them not being a single powerful move but at the very least give me the choice of using it when I want.
Still, Trance was the only consistent problem I had with FF9. Even the card game was far less painful than Triple Triad, even if they pretty much said "screw you, find out the rest of the rules".

I was pretty good at triple triad, so long as they didn't go too crazy on the rules involved. Tetra master is pretty easy, but it still makes me nervous sometimes.
The only thing I really don't like about trance is the fact that you can't really choose when to use it :/
